September, 2007 - The Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration has awarded a grant to the College of Technology for its proposal Center for Technology Literacy: An Upward Mobility Strategy for Economic Growth"
that focuses on communities technology's literacy. The EDA review panel recommended the proposal in the top 3 for a new EDA/University sponsored center.
The UH AT&T Lab will organize and host a series of workshops in the areas of Telecommunications and Computer Networking.

D. and Assistant Professor, and Caroline Crawford, Ph. D. and "Education in Second Life" by Mr. Chris Duke.
