Center for Life Sciences Technology

The Center for Life Sciences Technology has created a portal for aggregating workforce development needs for the state of Texas. The portal serves several purposes.

• At the request of the community colleges in Texas, we act as a central focus point for standardizing curricula related to life science technologies
• As a central focus point for accessing all biotechnology and laboratory programs in Texas
• As an aggregator of the latest news concerning the life science technologies, especially as concerns the state of Texas
• Host for job postings, internships and externships for the life sciences technology in the Texas Gulf-Coast area

Supported by a Wagner-Peyser grant from the Governor of Texas, the Center is actively involved in continuing research to identify the life science technology needs for Texas as well as developing appropriate educational vehicles to address those needs. Our goal is to be a hub for career planning and resources for the life science research and biotechnology cluster.
