Admission Procedures for Undergraduates

Undergraduate applications are processed and evaluated through the Office of Admissions and, for international students, the Office of International Admissions.

Applicants accepted to the University of Houston as freshman are eligible to declare any major in the College of Technology. Applicants accepted to the University of Houston as transfer students are eligible to declare any College of Technology major except Computer Information Systems.

Current students at the University of Houston who wish to declare a Technology major other than Computer Information Systems must have a minimum UH cumulative GPA of 2.0. Students interested in declaring Computer Information Systems must have an overall (UH and transfer cumulative) GPA of 2.5.

Students who are currently enrolled at the University of Houston may change their major to the College of Technology by submitting an online change of major petition.
