Get Started

The process is very simple! Here's all you need to do to become a Cougars for Kids Volunteer:

  • Complete the UH Volunteer Application and click on Submit.
  • Print, Complete and Sign the UH Release and Indemnification Agreement for schools or hospitals and return it to:

    Dr. Jerry Evans
    RM 330 Technology 2 (T2) Building, or
    Fax: 713-426-6417

  • Select the location of your choice from the Orientation page, and then contact them to make a reservation to attend one of their volunteer orientation sessions. Please make sure they know you are with Cougars for Kids (write it down on your application). You must comply with requirements for volunteers for the location you choose.
  • Once you have completed the required steps as specified by Cougars for Kids, and the hospital or school, AND you are actively volunteering at a location, you are eligible to receive your attractive Cougars for Kids red baseball cap and a Cougars for Kids red T-Shirt immediately to wear around the UH campus and during your volunteer service. To receive your shirt and hat, call me at 713-743-9434 or email me at jsevans2@uh.edu.

Thanks for your "volunteer spirit" and being part of this great volunteer service program.
