Overview of IEEE

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the largest professional technical organization in the world, with more than 365,000 members in over 150 countries, almost 40 percent of whom are from outside the United States. It has over 68,000 student members in the more than 1,300 student branches in 80 countries. The IEEE is a leading authority in technical focus areas ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace engineering and consumer electronics, among others.

Our IEEE Student Chapter

This chapter is the IEEE student chapter for the College of Technology. The chapter hosts various activities relating to the focus areas from time to time. These can include field trips, lectures from faculty or outside companies, workshops or just fun get-togethers. This chapter maintains its own web site, which should be referenced for further information.
