Applicants accepted to the University of Houston as freshman are eligible to declare any major in the College of Technology. Applicants accepted to the University of Houston as transfer students are eligible to declare any College of Technology major except Information Systems Technology. Please see the Information Systems Technology major page for special admissions requirements.

Current students at the University of Houston who wish to declare a Technology major other than Information Systems Technology must have a minimum UH cumulative GPA of 2.0. Students interested in declaring Information Systems Technology must have an overall (UH and transfer cumulative) GPA of 2.5.

Students who are currently enrolled at the University of Houston may change their major to the College of Technology by submitting an online change of major petition.
