Expand Your Knowledge
The Post-Baccalaureate program offers you a way to develop new expertise beyond what you
gained from your undergraduate degree. You can take courses from the College of Technology while
in the post-baccalaureate program, but
taking graduate courses as a post-baccalaureate student does not constitute admission to the
College of Technology graduate program nor does it guarantee that all post-baccalaureate courses
will apply to a Master of Science degree.
Procedures
-
Complete a Transfer application through the
Texas Common Application.
Application deadlines are posted on the
Office of Admissions
web site.
- Have your official transcript
conferring your Bachelor's Degree (and any other degrees) sent
from your former institution(s) to the Office of Admissions,
Room 122 E. Cullen, Houston, TX 77204-2023.
- Register for your classes. If
you plan to pursue a graduate degree, it is advisable to seek assistance
with course selection from that department.
- Begin the graduate application
process by registering for the appropriate entrance exam(s) and submitting
the graduate application, fee, 3 letters of reference and letter of
intent. Contact the Graduate Program Advisor at (713) 743-4100 if you
have questions.
Graduate Courses Approved for Post-Baccalaureate Enrollment
Graduate level course registration is restricted to the
list of approved courses. Not all courses in the list will be offered
every term.
Possible Credit
Advanced courses taken while students are classified as post baccalaureates may
be applied toward a graduate degree, but there are limitations:
-
It is College of Technology policy that a maximum of
12 approved credit hours while on post-baccalaureate status may be
applied to a graduate degree
